It may be necessary to outlaw for-profit journalism. Unfettered journalism is always a threat to those controlling the (majority of the) capital in a capitalist market economy. Capitalists will seek to control journalism and use it to solidify their positions, even to the detriment of the citizens who pay the capitalists for the (now gutted) journalism. ----Capital should not be allowed to control journalism.---- Thanks for adding to regular people's thinking and (hopefully) actions.
